Account Management

You can manage your Beaver account settings, security, and data by logging into the web portal at beaverapp.ai/login.

Account Information

The account page displays key information about your account:

  • Email: Your registered email address
  • Last Sign In: When you last accessed your account
  • Account Created: When you first created your Beaver account

Usage & Credits

Monitor your current usage and available credits:

  • Total Credits Remaining: Your combined subscription, rolled-over, and purchased credits
  • Credit Plan: Your current subscription plan (if any)

Billing & Subscriptions

Manage your subscription and credits from the Billing page.

Viewing Your Billing Dashboard

Navigate to Billing in the top navigation bar (when logged in) to see:

  • Your current plan and subscription status
  • Credit balance breakdown (subscription, rolled-over, and purchased credits)
  • Subscription renewal date and period details

Subscribing or Changing Plans

  1. Visit the Pricing page to compare plans
  2. Click Subscribe on your preferred plan
  3. Complete checkout through Stripe
  4. Your credits are available immediately

Managing Your Subscription

Click Manage Subscription on the Billing page to open the Stripe Customer Portal where you can:

  • Update your payment method
  • Cancel your subscription
  • View past invoices

Viewing Usage History

The Billing page includes a Recent Usage section showing your credit consumption history with dates, descriptions, and costs.

Account Security

Change Email

To update your account email address:

Click Change Email

In the Account Security section, click the Change Email button

Verify both email addresses

You'll need to verify both your current email and your new email address to complete the change

Check your inbox

Follow the verification links sent to both email addresses

Email changes require verification of both addresses for security. This ensures only you can modify your account details.

Change Password

To update your account password:

Click Change Password

In the Account Security section, click the Change Password button

Enter your current password

Provide your existing password for verification

Set a new password

Enter and confirm your new password

If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page instead.

Account Actions

Sign Out

Click Sign Out to log out of the web portal. This only affects your web session—you'll remain signed into Beaver in Zotero.

Delete All Threads

Click Delete All Threads to remove your entire chat history. This action:

  • Deletes all conversation threads and messages
  • Cannot be undone
  • Does not affect your library data or processed files

Delete Account

Account deletion is permanent and removes all your Beaver data.

When you delete your account:

  1. Immediate effect: Your account is scheduled for deletion and you'll be signed out
  2. Data removal: All your data including library metadata, processed files, chat history, and account information will be deleted
  3. Timeline: The deletion process typically completes within approximately one week
  4. Confirmation: You'll receive an email notification when the deletion is complete

Your Zotero library itself is not affected by deleting your Beaver account. Only the data synced to Beaver's servers is removed.

If you delete your account and later decide to use Beaver again, you'll need to create a new account and go through the initial setup process from scratch.
