When you select a collection or tag, Beaver adds filtering instructions to guide the AI's search behavior. The AI generally follows these restrictions very well, but may occasionally search more broadly particularly if the restricted search yields limited results. This flexibility is intentional. It integrates filtering more naturally into the conversation flow and allows Beaver to suggest relevant papers you might have missed adding to a collection.

Sub-collections

By default, Beaver will not search within sub-collections of a collection. However, you can explicitly mention sub-collections in your prompt and ask Beaver to check for and explore them. Some models still struggle with this, and future updates will improve their ability to handle this.
